Our Services
No On-Site Visitation Policy
At Hallhaus Kennels, the health, safety, and well-being of our dogs and puppies come first. For that reason, we do not allow in-person visits prior to scheduled puppy pickup. This policy is not to be inconvenient—it is to protect our dogs from preventable illness and to maintain a safe, controlled environment.
Why we do not allow early visits:
Puppy health protection: Deadly viruses like parvovirus and distemper can be unknowingly carried in on shoes, clothing, or hands and survive for months. A single visit from someone who recently stopped at a dog park or pet store could expose and endanger an entire litter.
Biosecurity standards: We follow strict veterinary-recommended biosecurity protocols to keep our facility clean, safe, and disease-free.
Home and family privacy: We are a family-based kennel, not a pet store. For safety, we do not invite the general public to our home.
Puppy development: The first 8 weeks are critical for social and neurological development. Excessive handling and unfamiliar visitors can cause unnecessary stress and disrupt their routine.
What we offer instead of in-person visits:
We believe in full transparency and relationship building—safely.
✅ Live video calls / FaceTime meetings
✅ Virtual kennel tours
✅ Weekly photo and video updates
✅ Temperament evaluations
✅ Health documentation and vet records
When can I come in person?
Families are welcome to meet us at puppy pickup once puppies have received their first vaccinations and are safely ready to transition home. At that time, we schedule one-on-one appointments in a secure, clean environment.
Thank you for supporting responsible breeding practices and helping us protect our dogs.

Can we visit before placing a deposit?
No, for the safety of our puppies we do not allow early visits. We are happy to offer virtual meetings and video calls to help you feel confident and informed before reserving a puppy.
❓ Why don’t you allow visitors before 8 weeks?
Young puppies have immature immune systems and are at high risk for illnesses like parvo, distemper, and kennel cough. These viruses can be carried unknowingly on shoes or clothing. Our no-visit policy is a biosecurity measure to keep them safe.
❓ Are you hiding something by not allowing visitors?
Absolutely not. In fact, we provide more transparency than most breeders. We offer video tours, live puppy viewings online, health records, and proof of DNA testing. Our priority is safety, not secrecy.
❓ Can I still meet my puppy before going home?
Yes! Families meet their puppies in person at pickup once they are vaccinated and ready to go home. We schedule private pickup appointments to ensure a personal experience.
❓ How do I know this is a legitimate program if I can’t visit?
We provide:
• Live video calls
• Proof of Embark DNA testing
• Vet records and health certificates
• References from previous families
• Contract, health guarantee, and documentation
